CRITICAL ALERT REMINDER: ‘ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN’ VOTE THIS WEEK Contact Your U.S. Representative Today!Last week, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee advanced flawed legislation that would ban the sale of commonly-owned rifles, shotguns, handguns and standard capacity magazines. In addition, the committee also approved legislation to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) and to put law enforcement in danger by allowing the public release of sensitive law enforcement data on crime firearms. Both bills could be voted on by the full House of Representatives this week! It is unclear if Speaker Pelosi has the votes needed to pass the bills at this moment, so it is critical that you call your U.S. Representative TODAY and urge a “NO” vote on H.R. 1808, the so-called “Assault Weapons Ban” of 2022, and H.R. 2814, the so-called “Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act.” Click here to find the correct contact information for your specific Member of Congress. Please also send your Representative an email by clicking here. EMAIL YOUR MEMBER OF CONGRESS IMPORTANT – Please forward this Critical Alert Reminder to ALL of your friends and contacts and ask them to call or email their Representative and urge a “No” vote too.
